About Us

Our Mission:

 We are Stokes County Paranormal, a mother-daughter duo searching for remnants of the past. Along with friends and family members, we seek out, research, investigate, and document paranormal events in an effort to connect the unexplained to documented history. Our 20+ years of experience have taken us to many notable locations along the east coast. More recently, we've been invited to take a look at the strange happenings in our own hometown. Follow along with us as we uncover the mysterious happenings in Stokes County and other locations. 

Our Story

Michelle grew up in a haunted home in King, NC. When her family moved from Tampa, FL out of tragedy, they unknowingly moved into a home full of spirits and tramatizing activity. In 2004, after Michelle had a terrifying experience at the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio, TX, she left with questions about what happened during her time there and the activity in her childhood home. When she returned to NC, she began to look into the paranormal field and investigate the family home, what is now known as The Farm House and other haunted hotspots with her then young daughter, Kimberly. 

In June 2022, when Kimberly was being interviewed as a potential Assistant Community Theatre Director/Instructor for The Stokes County Arts Council, she and Michelle were offered the opportunity to investigate the Arts Place of Stokes and then create the Danbury Ghost Tours. They went public in September 2022 at the Stokes Stomp as Stokes County Paranormal. It all started with the Wanderin' Witch and their Tell Me a Ghost Story campaign. The team has flourished in the community ever since!
